The festival takes place across different locations in Barcelona.
The entire program is designed to make it easy to walk between workshops and afternoon milongas. Most activities happen in the Eixample district and nearby neighborhoods such as Poble Sec, Clot, and Gràcia.
We recommend staying in central areas or places well connected by public transport within the Barcelona metropolitan area.
Barcelona has an excellent public transportation network that operates almost 24 hours a day.

Tan Queer is a cultural project that promotes an open, diverse, and inclusive space, encouraging the participation of different communities and the representation of multiple identities and artistic expressions.
The festival also works as a platform for cultural exchange between Barcelona and the international scene, fostering artistic mobility, transnational cooperation, and the circulation of contemporary proposals.

Yes. The organizing team speaks Spanish, English, and Italian.

Yes. One of our featured activities is the “Putiruta,” a city tour exploring the history and legends of dissident Barcelona.
Through this tour, you will discover how prostitution and the LGBTQIA+ community have influenced the life and transformation of different neighborhoods in the city from the 17th century to the present day.
The tour places special attention on the traces, struggles, and visibility of trans women and their role in reclaiming spaces historically denied to them by society.
