Ivan Giuliano (Italy) and Miguel Gallego (Colombia) are an emerging tango duo based in Italy. Trained by tango masters from Colombia, Argentina, and Italy, they have performed at tango festivals and events in various cities across Europe. Their approach aims to free gender structures in dance and promote new masculinities through the tango embrace.
Natalia and Yana met in 2022 at a milonga for March 8th, in Buenos Aires. From their first embrace they connected in their dance, sustained by a strong conviction: their fight for the gender equality in tango.
Yana and Natalia place a great emphasis on musicality and precise dance technique. Freedom and connection within the couple are equally present in their dance. For them, tango dancing means active and conscious following, as well as sensitive and attentive leading. Communication and interaction as an equal dialogue within the couple are the key to a harmonious dance experience.
A Venezuelan-born tango stage dancer and teacher, is at home in various dance styles including contemporary, classical ballet, jazz, butoh, swing, and urban dance. Specializing in tango de pista and tango escenario, Daniel began his professional dance career in Buenos Aires, where he learned from renowned tango teachers and stage dancers such as Corina Herrera, Javier Rodriguez, and Chicho Frumboli. In 2015, he with his well-known and renowned dance partner Juan Pablo Ramirez represented the first same-sex dance couple ever to take part in the Buenos Aires Tango World Championships. Daniel continues to explore tango from different perspectives, studying with outstanding artists such as Les Twins and Aya Sato. As a teacher, he strives to find authentic, ergonomic, and interpretive-musical movement while developing self-discipline and structure without forgetting the feeling and maximum freedom of tango.
Ariadna and Keila have been dancing together for almost six years. For them, connection, empathy, and fun are the most essential aspects of their dance, and they bring these values to every class and event.
Together, they created La Despeinada, where they taught for years in Barcelona. In recent years, they have collaborated with Queer Tango Zurich, Queer Tango Geneva, Tango Queer Firenze, Tango Queer Marseille, Tango Queer Rome, La Tinta (Catania), Lilis Ballroom (Vienna), Queer Tango London, Queer Tango Paris, Chamuyo Queer (Valencia Festival), and DeGenere (Rome Marathon), among other key spaces in the queer tango scene.
Their teaching method is minimalist, based on circular communication that flows from simplicity to complexity. They encourage learning both roles, fostering a more empathetic, natural, and fluid connection.
Anabel is a Tango dancer, Runner-up of the Spanish Tango Pista Championship, and founder and General Director of the dance and theater school “Salón Pugliese.”
Imanol is a Tango dancer, Provincial Tango Champion in Santa Fe (Argentina), and was recognized as an “Outstanding Young Argentine” for his artistic and cultural achievements (2022 and 2023) by the Junior Chamber International.
They have been working together since 2022 in stage creation and Tango teaching. Their debut as a Tango couple was in the show PIAZZOLLA INMORTAL, alongside the world-renowned singer Raúl Lavié, during his 2023 European Tour.
They are resident dancers of the show "Barcelona, Third Homeland of Tango" at the Afternoon Tea & Tango events in Hotel El Palace. They have performed in iconic milongas such as EL DESBANDE in Barcelona, CIRCOL DE REUS in Reus, and BOMBONCITO in Toulouse, France.
They are the creators of the theater-tango production “La Milonga del Infierno” and the founders and directors of the TANGOSCENE stage tango training program, which recently completed its 6th season at the Tango Amigo Festival this past May.
